Your table will be the center of attention at any holiday celebration. It’s the best spot for friends and family to eat, drink and make memories. Whether your style is laid-back, traditional, ultra-glamorous or somewhere in between, here are some ideas for effortless decorating to ensure your tablescape is the highlight of the season.

Classic Chic

A traditional table will be decked in vibrant reds and deep greens. But it should also include a neutral color to keep it from looking cliche. Begin with a white tablecloth to anchor the look; traditional colors pop well against a snowy white or ivory. Go ahead and utilize beautiful silver chargers to add a bit of shine. Add in napkins in a bold red or hunter green. Then, add greenery around the table in the form of garlands or wreaths. Fill a clear bowl with red ornaments as a centerpiece, or for a truly traditional Christmas vibe, use a potted poinsettia.

Earthy Undertones

An earthy, natural table is a beautiful way to bring the outdoors in with variations of browns and greens. Using real foliage can really bring this look together. A burlap table runner is the perfect neutral start to this tablescape. Scatter pine cones and branches down the center. (Bonus: this will make the whole room smell more like Christmas.) Use wood slices as chargers or visit your local christmas tree lot for smaller pine slices to be used as coasters. Utilize glass goblets and clear plates. Bundle together a cream napkin, cinnamon stick and a sprig of holy secured with twine for each place setting. As an easy centerpiece, pour Epsom Salt into the bottom of a clear candle holder before placing a pillar candle inside. If you would like to go the extra mile, create placeholders on rustic brown cardstock.

Elegant Glam

For an all-out, glamorous Christmas table, use reflective and metallic pieces in conjunction with candles to give a beautiful glow to the entire setting. An iridescent tablecloth sets the stage, then add gold chargers and flatware for added indulgence. Candelabras make for stunning centerpieces and provide an element of luxury. Scatter metallic ornaments around the base to bounce shine around your guests. Accent your decor by adding greenery to small, metallic jars or vases set about the table. Finish off your glamorous look with plenty of stemware and an elegant wine or champaign bucket.
